10 Keys to Success in Network Marketing

Everyone wants to become wealthy in their mlm business, but so few people ever achieve lasting success in this industry.This is do to a major deficiency in quality training in the network marketing industry. The majority of people who enter the network marketing industry come from a background as an employee and not a business owner.  You must learn to think differently, you must learn to act differently, and you must have different priorities if you want to succeed in building your own business.The starting point is learning and applying the 10 keys to success in network marketing that I am going to reveal here.

1)      Personal Branding.  It is essential that you brand yourself and not your company if you want to have long term residual income.  People do not want to join a company, they already have a job, they want to follow a LEADER.  You must exhibit leadership characteristics and offer value to other people.This means hosting webinars, conference calls, providing training and establishing yourself as a resource for other people.

2)      A system.  There are only 24 hours in a day and there is no way you can generate leads, follow up with your leads, train your downline and still have time to money-making activities such as speaking with people about your business.You need a system that will handle the traffic generation and training for you.  Every leader in the industry uses leverage, and you simply cannot try and do everything on your own – that is a sure recipe for burnout.

3)      A Command Center.A simple blog will work great – you just need somewhere that people go to get to know you.  You can have links to your business opportunity and allow people to search out that information on their own, rather than trying to “sell” them from day 1.  This will enhance your personal branding and is absolutely essential if you plan to market your business online.

4)      Generate YOUR OWN leads.  You must employ marketing strategies that generate laser targeted leads for your business.You will not have lasting success relying on cold calling other people's leads.Mastery of lead generation is the cornerstone of your business.

5)      Follow up.  This step is so simple, but so many people fail here because they do not pick up the phone and call back their leads.  Don’t be afraid!  Remember that someone gave you their phone number so there is an expectation on their part that you will call and give them more information.  Be a leader and make the call – your conversions will go through the roof when you do.

6)      Focused marketing plan.Many people start with the shotgun approach – applying every marketing strategy at once (ppc, social media, banner ads, etc.).The problem is, they don't get results because their efforts are scattered and unfocused.It is critical that you focus on one marketing strategy at a time and master it before you move on to another strategy.If you do this, you will experience phenominal results.

7)      Set goals.  Do you know that only 3% of people actually write down their goals and review them regularly?It follows reason that those same 3% are the wealthiest people in the world.  Follow that example and write down your short term and long term goals.  Pick 1 goal that you are really striving for, write it down, and post it someplace where you can see it every day – like your bathroom mirror.  This works like magic and for the first time in your life you will finally accomplish goals and achieve your dreams.

8)      Take consistent action.Do not expect to make a million dollars overnight, the process of building a business takes time.Consistent action every single day is essential for your business.  Think of each daily task as a brick, and if you place several bricks down each day – by the end of a year or two you have built a castle.

9)      Ongoing personal development. You are either getting better or getting worse in your business, there is no middle ground.  It is vital that you engage in regular training and plug into a system that offers continuing education.Listening to audio CD's while driving or reading for 20 minutes per day can have a cumulative effect on your personal development.  Did you know the average American reads 1 book per year while the average CEO of a fortune 500 company reads 52 books per year?  Personal development is essential – if you focus in this area you will DOMINATE in your company.

10)   Never give up.Failing in your network marketing business means going back to an 8 to 5 job and working to make someone esle rich.  You go back to trading your time in order to live paycheck to paycheck and squeeze out an existence in this life.  If you have read this far, you have too much ambition for that existence and you must keep going.  Follow the 9 keys above and call me if you are still having difficulty achieving the success you deserve.I will help you make it happen, but whatever you do – NEVER GIVE UP!
